I used my own experience as a pet owner to tell the story 'They Always Know." From concept to completion, I was the Creative Director behind the pen, on location, and in the trenches with post-production. Filming during the pandemic had its own unique challenges, with travel still limited, so we needed to be lean and get creative. I pivoted, using a tiny crew, my own home for interior scenes, areas around my town for exterior, and even my own beloved furry child, Chief Brody, as the star. I played Creative Director, prop stylist, hair and make-up, and dog handler on location. My jeep even served as an air-conditioned trailer for the talent. For a second spot, I made minor adjustments to the script to read from the point of view of Chief Brody, using the same visuals.
All content, both long and short-form, will be targeted broadcast on Hulu in the US market.
